I admit it — I like to dress my Welsh Pembroke corgi for Halloween. My husband looks at our dog, shakes his head and says to her, “Clementine, have some pride.” lol! I think she enjoys dressing up because she gets a treat and lots of attention from trick-or-treaters who come to our door.
I don’t get crazy. Nothing constricting or uncomfortable and I always consider her well-being before I dress her in anything. After all, her comfort comes before my need to make her cuter than she already is!
Clementine’s costumes over the years
The SuperCorgi dress was a toddler dress from Kmart. I removed the sleeves off and cut the front of the skirt away. The dress was loose enough that she didn’t mind wearing it. This picture appeared in”Scaredy Cats and Dogs” in our local C&G News!
Collars are the easiest costume, and certainly the least objectionable from a dog’s perspective. Clementine does not like hats, so I don’t bother with them.
