Ann Arbor’s fabulous book fest Kerrytown finally returns after three years! It’s in a new location at Washtenaw Community College, but it looks to be bigger, brighter, and better than ever, and weather won’t be a worry. The festival will be able to make use of the college’s theater and various rooms as well for the special events.

And what a line up! Check it out:

  • Acclaimed romance writer Beverly Jenkins
  • Master of sidewalk chalk art David Zinn
  • Author Wade Rouse
  • Author Lev Raphael
  • Poetry Readings by Peter Markus, Christina Kallery and Jeff Kass
  • The Book Arts Studio and the art of making books
  • Writers’ Meetup and Mini-workshop

Representing Detroit Working Writers

Author Jean Alicia Elster and I will be sharing information about Detroit Working Writers and selling books. Jean’s work includes the critically acclaimed young adult novel How it Happens, as well as her children’s books: Joe Joe in the City Series, The Colored Car, and Who’s Jim Hines? I will have Gordy and the Ghost Crab picture book and play sets, my novel, In the Context of Love, and the anthology Idol Talk: Women Writers on the Teenage Infatuations that Changed their Lives.

Thats me with Jean at a past Kerrytown Bookfest!

Details:

All events will be held in the Morris J. Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College (WCC). Click here for personalized driving directions to WCC; parking lots 1 and 2 are closest to the building, marked “ML” on the campus map.
