Playing Foxland!
I have to share this amazing math game my granddaughter made for school called “Foxland.” We had so much fun playing the other day. Actually, I was quite pleased to discover that I remembered how to use a multiplication table. My skills are a little rusty.
The game pieces are little foxes!
The game moves really fast. You pick a card and solve the math problem (such as 5 x __ = 25) and move your fox according to the answer.
Watch out for traps. There’s a live chicken in the path, and if your fox lands on it, the trap falls from the tree and you miss a turn. And you don’t want to be chased by the dog, either.
Lucky you if you land on the tunnel or the log slide you get to move ahead. Who says learning math has to be boring? My granddaughter couldn’t wait to show me her game and for us to play. I was tickled by her enthusiasm.
Hidden dangers
It gets tricky when a pesky little brother wants to horde all the foxes with his transformer dinosaur robots!
